On 25th February 2025 there was organized an experience Exchange (Union Farmers’ Visit)-2025 under visit Japan Fund for Global Environment (JFGE) and Share the Planet Association(SPA), Japan supported LICREAT- project. 43 farmers from all 04 Unions (1. Sundarpur- Durgapur Union, 2. Niamotpur Union, 3. Kola and 4. Jamal)  under Kaliganj Upazila of Jhenaidah district soundly took part to the visit and gained need based experience in regard to less water irrigation and climate resilient agriculture practices.  Target farmers attended to Sonar Bangla Foundation office at around 09:00 am. They firstly left office for heading to Moheswarchanda village under Niyamotpur Union. In that place they visited one more water saving irrigation techniques (AWD, Buried Pipe and Fita pipe based irrigation) and changing cropping pattern like Maize is cultivation replacing Boro). In later they left Moheswarchanda for visiting flower and Dragon cultivation spots situated at Trilachanpur village under Trilachanpur Union. The farmers spent quality time through visiting and learning both the flower cultivation field of Tipu Sultan and Dragon field of Md. Shajahan and Tipu Sultan as well.  In the afternoon the farmers visited Mohadevpur village where underground (Buried) pipe based irrigation and Application of AWD method is duly applied.  The duration of the visit was 01 (One) day and it was it was on February 25, 2025. 

Outputs:

·         All team members proved their talents for questioning & learning and gaining knowledge & information through observing and questioning.

·         Farmers themselves shared their experience and learning following open mind and friendly atmosphere

·         All farmers showed their utmost  modesty, sincerity & punctuality in all sectors on the way to different spots;

·         Farmers either collectively or individually have collected data from the experienced farmers and also through visiting water saving and climate resilient agriculture practices.

·         Finally all visiting farmers realized the importance modern agriculture technologies not only to remain survived but also to sustain the agriculture in the coming time.
